Found my first love there, Aero bars from the hotel snack machine. I miss her badly...Snickers just don't do the same thing to me

There's a great gym where I live in New York, but I'm home for a coupla weeks on vacation and there ain't shite around. In the garage I found these old ten pound plates, a bar, and a pair of collars, so after dusting off the cobwebs (literally) and killing a couple of spiders that lived in the center of the plates, I fashioned myself a 45lb barbell.

And thanks to this forum, the first exercise I thought of doing with this 45lb barbell was.... you got it, 100 rep snatch. Didn't time myself this time, but I am positive I was a minute or two slower than my PR time, mainly because it was much more difficult to stabilize the barbell over my head once I snatched it up. Also, my forearms were burning like all hell by the end. Like, really, they kinda hurt.

Which is why I'm doing one-armed snatches strictly with barbells from this moment forward. Goodbye, limp-wristedness.

I didn't know an Aero was exclusive to Canada. Strange

3:55 with 35lbs at 170lbs body weight (Christ I've LOST 5 lbs. Not cool)

Edit: It was done alternating 20/20/20/20/10/10

This sucked waaaay worse than the 100 burpees. I decided to do this on a whim, more out of curiousity. It's the first time I've been nauseated in a long time.

Serious props to those that did the 500.

Interesting... I feel the opposite. The burpees were death. This time around, the snatches were actually fairly pleasant. I hit the 45 non-stop, followed by about 4-5 minutes rest, then the 35 non-stop. I switched hands every five reps on both sets and I felt this was the ideal scheme for me.

I will never do 100 burpees again.

I'm planning on doing this again, as well as the burpees---after I get my ass in gear and try Standards conditioning challenge. I'll admit I don't lift as much as I used to, and this is obviously reflected in how I felt. Switching it up every 5 versus 20 or ten may have been a better idea. If someone had been watching me during the last 20 reps, they would have probably been howling with laughter at my form.

I'm pretty sure I'll be fucked with DOMS over the next two days
