10 Days - Advice?
All right this thread might be pretty dumb, but I'm throwing it out there just in case there are any special cardio tricks I might not be aware of. . .
I'm a little old to be starting martial arts (25) and asthmatic to boot, but I wanted to do it. Started in July and, despite the asthma, little by little, got into shape. Last month the gym had some problems, and since then I havent been training. I want to start back up in the New Year, and have ten days vacation to get my cardio back into shape. I'll be in a cold place but will have access to either a treadmill or stationary bike. If anyone can advise a routine, I'd appreciate it.

jump rope and burpees are pretty good and don't require a lot of space.

Just run man, just run. Run for as long as you can, as hard as you can without killing yourself. Just run.

If you're just getting back into shape then you can't expect any kind of miracles in ten days. What you can do is make sure that you complete some sort of exercise on at least 7 of those days. Use those ten days to get yourself back into the habit, but don't push too hard as you're likely to simply injure yourself.

i agree with gov. ride the stationary bike or just run a while. just get your body moving and get your muscles working again.

I suffered with asthma for years. What worked for my lungs was planty of LSD running or similar - I really had to learn how to breathe before I as able to derive any benefit from attempts at anaerobic work. Make sure you stay off congested roads, try to get out in the countryside or parks where the air is clean.
There are several good starter routines in the stickies.
