Um, its obvious. The weight isn't balanced in your grip, and its further away from your body for things like swings and snatches, making them more difficult to weild. It taxes your grip and balance better than dumbells. They aren't some magical russian strength tool, but a useful tool, moreso than dumbells in some applications.

"kettlebells for Xmass"

Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight

Oh, kettlebells, kettlebells
Juggle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
kettlebells kettlebells
Juggle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

A day or two ago
I thought I'd take a ride
And soon Miss Fanny Bright
Was seated by my side
The horse was lean and lank
Misfortune seemed his lot
We got into a drifted bank
And then we got upsot

Oh, kettlebells kettlebells
Juggle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
kettlebells kettlebells
Juggle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh yeah

kettlebells kettlebells
Juggle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
kettlebells kettlebells
Juggle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

Yep. I hope I wake up Xmas morning, and there it is under the tree, a kettlebell-shaped lump of gift wrap. Then I'd turn into Pavlov.

....

Yes, I really think this will happen

I loves me some kettlebell circuits. Handling an object with high torque is more fun to me. Also, it *does* mimick lifting real objects more closely than dumbbells or barbells (how often can you pick up something heavy by its center of gravity?).

It's like the difference between hitting someone with a baseball bat vs. hitting them with your fists, in that both are very productive, but one is far more entertaining.

Which one is supposed to be more entertaining?

The difference in a kettlebell and a dumbbell is about $50.

I freaking hate people who talk like this. I don't wanna pass judgement on you, but odds are you are either a chick or a raging homo. Do you also loves you some schlong?
