I haven't worn my wedding ring in over three years. I broke my finger once while I was wearing it and managed to get it off before the swelling got too bad. I never really enjoyed wearing it and teh wife doesn't care if I don't wear it, so I just haven't.

I've been married close to 14 years now and I never take my ring off. In fact, I'm not even sure I could take it off now if I wanted to.

My ring is scratched up, and I've got what seems like a permanent slit right at the first joint on my ring finger from it digging into my palm when I pull.

But I will tell you right now -- the amount of fucking shit you will find yourself putting up with on a daily basis from your goddamn wife will far outweigh the minor pains and annoyances associated with wearing your ring while training.

I've been married 14 years, and I never wear my ring. I stopped while working in the refineries (safety). Now it won't fit, my fingers are too big. So it hangs over the visor in the truck.

My wedding ring is all scratched and bent up from lifting. Gold is so soft I would mash it flat on one side and then I would have to squeeze it and mess with it just to get it off and then try to make it round again.

This made me chuckle. How's YOUR marriage going?

I think you are a little bit whipped. If you want to take the ring off when you lift then take it off. If you not wearing your ring when you lift weights is the biggest problem your marriage will have then you should feel blessed.

Been married 10 years. I wore my ring for about the first year and then got tired of it and put it on my keychain. My wife is one of my training partners. She wears her ring normally, but she ties it in her shoelace when she's lifting.

I don't wear mine, either, unless we're getting dressed up together and going out (rare). I just don't like the way rings feel.
