Smith Machine?

Ive never used one before but the multi gym ive got is getting useless as its only 100kg on the press and doesnt incline decline and ive nearly broke the floor with dumbbells when ive hit failure so they arent an option.
Has anyone used the Marcy budget smith machine just the one with the benchpress and preacher curl and legs?.If so is it any good?.
As ive never used a smith machine any info on them would be helpfull.
Or would i be better waiting till ive got the cash and buy a leverage system or a decent multi gym?.

It was useless before you ever maxed it out, just like the smith machine.

First and best option for the smith machien is to hang your towel and belkt on it, than proceed to the nearest barbell.

I'm assuming that you have money to buy a multi-gym.

Get a power rack and adjustable bench

They have safety pins so when your squating or benching and fail..instead of being crushed the pins will stop the weight for you

Power rack, no question.

smith machines completely destroy form and it will end up hurting you in the long run.

There are so many things wrong with the original post.

Suffice to say, don't use machines (Smith or otherwise) because they lock you into an artificial groove instead of letting you lift in your own.

A barbell can be pushed off, a smith machine bar cannot. Death by blunt guillotine.
