Sherdog's Strongest Man

Strength and Power's very own powerlifting competition.

Make submissions in the format: Nickname..BW..sq/bp/dl....total....Wilks Coeff. I will NOT update your wilks score or total if you do not include it.

Whitebelts need not apply! I'm sorry, it's easier this way. So many people come rolling through here with ridiculous claims and no evidence or precidence to back them up, and then leave without a trace. Whitebelts will not be included. On that same note, non-regulars will be removed. Periodically, I will be sifting through thread and removing people who haven't posted on the board the last 6 months.

Lifts need not be meet lifts, but they should be the most weight you have actually lifted. If you lifted 405 5 times, but have never lifted 406, the 405 should be what you submit.

Squats should NOTICEABLY break parallel. It must be a PL meet worthy lift. If you only squat ass to the grass, you can submit that number, it's your crutch.

We prefer people to lift unequipped, but will accept equipped lift as long as all equipment is approved by the IPF, no fifteen ply canvas squat suits with hydraulics.

These may be PR's, and may not reflect current lifts.

All results will be displayed in British pounds. Please take the extra two seconds to convert and submit them as such. Yes yes, we ALL know the metric system is simpler and easier... do it anyways.

To calculate your wilks score, convert your bodyweight and total to metric (by dividing pounds by 2.205) and click here.

Height, lifts other than the squat, benchpress and deadlift, and lifts not done with freeweights are of no concern in this thread.

I will work to update posted information as frequently as possible. PMing me will NOT make this process quicker.

The squat isn't ass to grass. It's a power squat. Top of quad breaking parallel.

Urban how do the weight classes work? Do you have to be under the listed number?

I think I should be in the 275 class.

Also, shouldn't squats have to be at least to parallel, or something like that? Otherwise I could just run out and 1/4 squat more to add to my total, heh.

Agreed.

It should be a give in that all squats must be squats that would pass in a powerlifting meet. If you don't know what that means, do some research before posting.

Quarter squat numbers are lame.
