Well...what works for me is having a real wide stance "horsman type''/"Sumo style", pointing my toes out a bit and opening my hips up a bit so that my knees are pretty much in line with my toes. Now when I'm squating down, I'm real square, super solid posture.
I contract my traps a bit and place the bar on em, nice and snug.
I keep my core nice tight during the lift and my back straight the whole time.
Now something else that realy helped (thanx to a post by Keith Wassung) was not worying so much about my depth and realy focusing on just moving the fuckin weight. I wanted to make sure that I was at least very close to 90 degrees but without having to concentrate on it so much (cause doing so drained alot of mental energy), so to make the depth instinctive I used my bench as a box for depth check. As soon as my ass touches bench I get that fuckin weight up. I'll gradualy lower that height to bellow paralel.
Anyways, there you go.
