Yeah, to make matters worse, my name's Taylor....so it's Taylor and Alice in an epic bench off.

To make matters worse, I'm also 20, for when I tell people I'm 20, I always flash on this part of a Taylor Rain movie where they ask her how old she is while she's ontop gettign it up the ass and she laughs and says "20". Wait....that's not worse at all.....

Oh, and Alice's real name is Tim, we call him Alice because he's a BBer who's always had a solid raw bench, but sucked chode at squats/pulls when he first came to the gym. One night at Sunday Night Squats after a work set with 225 (like, bodyweight) he said "yeah well, just call me Alice". So everyone has since then.

Bench- 280x2. Up from the previous of 270x2 last week.

I got a stupid question. I just ordered a belt and started wearing it Thursday, and my close grip bp went up 10 pounds and bench went up 10 pounds today. Does wearing a belt actually help with you lift more, or just safety like i always thought?

Also another question that might not be so stupid, My CG and my BP are very close. I CG 265x2 fopr my last set and today i ended with 280x2 with my BP. Is this an indication that my chest muscles are the weak link in the excerise?

1) no, a belt does little to nothing on a bench, in fact if I saw it in my gym, I'd probably start a thread mocking you.

2) could be your lats, shoulders, or chest.

Woo, 360 off 3 boards. That's, like, a 20 lb PR. Go me.

'fraid not. You see, I live in the very South of the South. South Georgia. Florida doesn't really count as a part of the South, because it's mostly populated by old people. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go drink some sweet tea and eat some grits.

If I lived in the south, I'd be sipping mint julips on the verranda in my summer suit and being all like "my goodness gracious, it IS rather warm this afternoon isn't it?"
