NICE cleanin the big wheels now eh. that is my one rep max for power cleaning but theres no way in hell I'm gonna be able to press that haha

while the two lifts are close to eachother for me, I've never been able to clean something i couldn't press. In fact, I always let out a little sigh of relief when the weight gets up to clean position cause I'm confident I can get it overhead from there, and I think that confidence is half the battle.

nice one urban, just for clarity, a clean is a deadlift up to where u would hold the bar for a front squat right, or is there some other rules to it?

I've never heard it described that way, but I guess it seems logical.

Nice lifts, Urban. I miss cleans... they hurt my elbow right now.

Thats awesome. When you press it after you clean it do you kick back into like, a front stance, or do you not move your feet when you press it?

That was more of a power clean with a squat attached to it...you don't have to squat down like that...the little hop is really important though

Kicking back is a jerk I think.

He was push pressing which is feet together and driving up with the legs.

A jerk is a bit more than kicking back. The purpose of the leg split is actually to rapidly drop your body position, catching the bar overhead. It's not so much a press as it is the ability to drop into lockout, then stand w/ the bar overhead. There's some pressing involved, but it's a technique thing.

Alon???

Yea what he said.

To be honest, never understood why the kids did kick backs....better balance I guess. I thought they were splits they were trying to do.
