Overwelhmed? No time to train? Thats when its time to train!

Facing some writing deadlines and feeling alittle pressure lately both financial and personal.

Training when things are going well is important. But i have found that training and eating right when under pressure is MORE important. I'm always amazed at how not training for a couple of days (which can quickly turn into a week or more) to catch up on work CAUSES MY PRODUCTION TO GO DOWN. Just the opposite is true, that despite having alittle trouble focusing in the beginning of the session due to stress and shit, once i get it going and finish, I'm ready to return to the world of mortals fully recharged.

Any thoughts...

I agree, I have a lot of shit on my plate atm, and I didn't think I'd have time to lift this week since it would be a distraction, time consuming, etc. Boy was I wrong. That shit just gets me motivated to get on top of all that other stuff thats making my life hell right now.

I really find weight training most enjoyable when all the other shit in my life gets out of hand. you go in, you take out your anxiety on the iron, and you leave knowing that no matter what else happens that day/week/whatever, you got something done. Lifting is good stress relief.

For others it is bodyweight. Neither one is better than the other, it all depends on what you want from it, and get out of it. Not saying "don't weighttraing", just saying there are alternatives. Now if you want to bodybuild, or powerlift, then you have to weight train. However, I know in my gut and heart, you can be a successful fighter without the need of weights. While strength and size play a big part, also speed, skill, and heart has a bigger part.

I honestly pity the average man who goes home after a hard day of work and sits on his ass in front of the television. That is no way to live.

Give me weights or give me death.

I recently started training again after a long break. My problem was I was always waiting till I had shit under control. I recently realized that I never was going to have that so I trained that night. Its just up to me to keep it up now. Regardless of how much shit I have to do I'm goign to train.

I wake up at 5:00am and warm up, maybe have a quick cup of joe, then work out before I have to get ready for work.

BTW, is iman trying to lure people away from the Dark Side?
