Help with injury......please

I got injured about 4 months ago now, doing shoulder presses with dumbells. I didn't feel the injury, but only felt pain when I started doing a back exercise (pulldown) immediately after. I went to my friend who is a massage therapist and he told me it was a pulled trap. Well it has been a long time and while I was on the endge of being all right a few times, I always have the pain come back. Some of that has to do with me jumping into a full on work out too soon I think.

Does anyone have any advice about what could help me heal faster. I work abroad in a rural area and don't have any medical services immediately available to me, and am hesitant to leave work for this. Any advice or opinions are appreciated. Thanks

Nothing for it but time, mang. That's muscle strain for you, you just gotta wait it out and find something else to do until then. How's your cardio? Focus on running or flexibility for the next few weeks. Read Moby Dick.

Doing dumbell OHPs and pulldowns ain't your best options anyway. For these movements mankind sagely invented barbells and powerracks with chin up bars.
