that means not only can this person deadlift 586 with ease, he can clean it, front squat it, and push it over his head.
That right there really puts things into perspective.

You know what I can do with 586 lbs? I can roll it around or pick up one end.

this is the world record clean and jerk...

his best front squat was 300 kgs (660 lbs) for 3 reps and 705x1

I can't find his deadlift numbers...but these guys preach balance..from interviews I have read, it doesn't seem like he cares to lift weights much higher than his competitive lift weights..
seems he believes that there is no use in dead lifting 1,000 pounds if he can't clean it.
They also don't wear gear, including any belts, wrist or knee straps. Just a tight one piece and some chalk.

I would bet they would be highly competitive but not top 5 in any major comp. That is not handicapping for gear...you gotta think, with a little practice in gear they would probably be even better. But bench being god knows what, you really cant know how they would do there.

Top supers have deadlifted and squatted in the low 400's (I even remember hearing of a 105 who would dead in those numbers years ago). Their bench would be total shit, probably around their snatch or so.

You should see some of the uglier lifters around, there's no way they could lift that much without being brutally strong.

Some weightlifter was training snatches with 80kg the other day at the gym. After that he did frontsquats with 200kg for reps.
