2009 is on the ropes and fading fast. Lets give it a proper viking funeral.
Odin gave an eye for a sip of wisdom from Mimir's well. Surely you can avoid your razor for a few short weeks. Celebrate the passing of another decade by going full-viking; grow a beard worthy of Norse Mythology.
The Rules:
-It has to be a real beard. No prosthetics or glue-ons.
-It has to be a new beard. Don't post a pic from 3 years ago.
-Evidence of the beard must be submitted to this thread by Dec 21st
-Beard can be untrimmed or trimmed in any way shape or form. Points for creativity.
-Judging will be done on Dec 22nd.
-Judging will be done in standard S&P fashion (poll).
-No white belts allowed unless you're vouched for by a regular forum member.
-Before pics strongly encouraged but not required.
Prize:
Assuming mods have this power...Winner gets the coveted Odin's Beard Belt complete with Dual Raven Buckle.
For those of you who have grown beards in the past, you already know how long it takes to grow a proper beard so you can stop shaving accordingly. If this will be your first beard attempt, you should probably start now.
NOTE:
If there are any pissy mods out there wondering what this has to do with S&P, Beards are believed to be a source of power in some (awesome) cultures. This is merely an attempt to study these effects over a diverse sample size.
