I find it hard to understand why so many posters have missed the underlying problem in this thread - it's not his legs that are sore, his vagina gets severly chafed from the cycling and makes squatting uncomfortable.
While at university I used to ride an average of 16 miles a day, often up at 32 or so when I had a busy day, I still trained judo 2-3 times a week and was squatting heavy (at times doing three squat sessions a week while on 5x5).
Am I simply that awesome that I can do things no other human could recover from? Well yes, but you should still be able to squat and cycle. Any excuse you make is just that, an excuse. As for protein, Oyaji just gave you a shopping list - milk, tuna, chicken; go eat them.

I live in Japan, and it's not that hard to get protein.

You're being a gigantic pussy. It's not like you're living in some dirt-road village in a 3rd-world country. You're also exaggerating about the prices here.
Buy milk, and drink it. Buy chicken, and eat it. Man up and squat. Rinse and repeat.

I know. I needed a good kick in the @$$. There is no one here to tell me to stop being a pussy. So I needed some motivation. Sorry for coming off as a pussy. It's sometimes hard for to self motivate. Especially when I am stronger that literally everyone here.

I heard also that Muslims have a discount on halal meat too. I lived with some Muslims and they got their lamb or whatever shipped from Tokyo to Kyushu and apparently it was cheap. Maybe some kind of religious discount?
i don't workout right now. I just moved to Tokyo and am still getting settled, trying to find a job and shit. I'm not a big fan of Tokyo.

Oh and here protein drinks have 4g of protein, and peatnut butter is like $10 a pound. I eat a lot of questionable yogurt.

bro, bodybuilding.com will deliver to Japan. delivery is like $100 though (well for me it was when i ordered 17lbs worth of stuff). i just got hit with a $26 duty bill from fedex though. WTF?
but overall you get a better quality product for the same price as the wierd proteins they have here.

Oyaji, I think I remember you saying you were going to minato-ku, is that where you ended up?
BTW, iherb.com's shipping to Japan is a lot cheaper than bodybuilding.com
