New - Interview with Ryan Kennelly

Yesterday I interviewed Ryan Kennelly for House of Pain's BLOG.

Topics we discuss are:

The upcoming Europa Powerlifting Super Show

Kennelly's dieting down to go after the all-time 308 class shirted bench record

His future plans to train for breaking the all-time 715lb raw bench record

And what he did in the gym and in the kitchen to get up to 345 pounds bodyweight after being stuck in the 308 class for years.

I laughed at "stuck at 308 lb"

It always annoys me how powerlifters beat around the bush when asked about raw lifting.

Really strong powerlifters don't "beat around the bush" when asked about raw lifting. Kennelly's happy to tell people that he raw benches 675 pounds. I've got a video clip of him doing 600 x 2 and 405lbs x 20 reps in that interview layout so check it ooooooooooout.

That video of him doing 405x20 is ridonculous. I guess that is the same guy from the video flak posted where he benches and then starts bleeding from the eyes. Badass.

Yeah, shoving a thousand pounds off your chest really makes the blood pressure jump a bit, ha!

You can still watch his whole 90 minute training and competition film online via internet video at Hardcore Powerlifting too.

I couldn't find his numbers for squat and deadlift. Does anyone know what they are?
