MP3 player users

OK, this question came to me reading the thread about workout music, and is pertinent to that part of lifting...

For those of you who use an MP3 player at the gym, how do you carry it around with you? Strapped to the arm? Pocket? I tried strapping mine to the arm once and hated it... but now it's pissing me off strapped to my waist, with the free cord getting in the way... am I missing something here? What's the consensus?

If it was for lifting, i'd say take it off when you lift (tis what I do)

I strap it to my forearm, i find the bi/tri area really annoying when the muscles flex and the forearm doesn't really increase in size much by flexing. I'll usually put the cord in the front for chest work outs and in the back for back work outs to avoid getting it caught during lifts.

i have a pair of nice gym shorts that have an awesome cargo pocket in them. i run my headphones down under the front of my shirt to the pocket. works wonders compared to cinching my bicep every time i do any type of exercise.
