How has your S&P changed things in your life?

By being strong/powerful what new or different things have you noticed? I have two small changes (from small gains in my S&P)....
1. I handed my school bag to a guy when it was loaded with books (but didn't seem all that heavy to me) and the expression on the guy's face when he grabbed the bag was priceless. I thought he was going to have a hernia right there. (arm strength)
2. I play disc golf and I have noticed I can throw the disc considerably farther, sometimes as much as 50 to 75 feet farther. (wrist/grip strength)

My party tricks have gotten significantly better. It used to be all I could really do was open beer bottles with my teeth. Now I can fold those bottlecaps in half twice, bend nails, and rip shit, so it's good times. BTW, I bent a 5/8" wrench yesterday, but there's no telling how tough it is since I got it at the dollar store.

Also, all the lifting (albeit it has been almost exclusively for peak strength) has increased my GPP to a level where the academy doesn't make me sore like everyone else even thought they work for entirely different goals (3x12-15 in the weight room and and 1.5-2 mile runs).

Also, by no fault of my own, nobody wants to fuck with me at parties. Long before I bend or break anything, people seem to know I lift. I guess this has more to do with keeping loudmouth friends than with lifting, but lifting is a part of it... right?

So true, the way people look at you after they know you rip phonebooks in half is absolutely priceless.

The most obvious way S&P has changed my life is in my fighting, which was pretty much thw hole point. I am so much stronger on the mat it's not even funny, it's a great feeling when one of your coaches won't believe you're not moving up in weight category because you just effortlessly hoisted him onto your shoulders with a kataguruma.

I get to listen to a completely different school of thought which is always useful, the people here are good for a "jockular" atmosphere and I've learned a lot about prehab, REALLY important.

- I went from pulling 365 to 545 in a little over a year
- I am no longer a pussy when it comes to weights
- I can now lift 210 over my head
- I've taught my wife to spot the "wheelchair athletes"
- I scare cops

Oh, and by the way - if you lift heavy shit...you WILL get pussy.
