Deadlift--form

This guy is hitching too much, but do you think his back is rounding too much too?

If it's so heavy I need to hitch it, I go down in weight a little, but on my heavier sets, I'll occasionally get a little sloppy on back arch in order to get used to heavoer weight.

yea his back is suuposed to be straight throughout the deadlift. You could have a wider stance to have a more stable stance so your back is not arched.

There should never be a double knee bend in deadlifts.

Back rounding happens on heavy conventional deadlifts for most people.

It's not the safest thing to do I guess, but as long as you don't do what he's doing where he pulls it with a round back, then rebends his knee and changes the position of his back midlift, you should be fine.

bad form bottom line. the first thing he needs to work on, and by him i mean you, is to initiate the lift with his legs instead of his back so much, the back angle should remain stationary until the bar gets past the knees and then he can thrust his hips forward to lock it out.

i mean sometimes on max lifts my back might be a bit rounded at the start if im deadlifting from the ground but thats because i have a bad knee so i cant bend my legs like that so i do straightleg deads but i fix it right away when i do, that reminded me of when isaw a kid slip a disc 6 plates in the hole it was horrid , specially cause the whole time i was on the rack beside him with my buddy and i kept saying shit i should tellthis kid to keep his back straight or hes gonna fuck up
