So I no longer have a spotter, need help changing exercises.

The person that usually acts as my spotter just injured himself playing rugby and can't spot me on a few of the lifts for an indefinite amount of time. So i need to get rid of the exercises that need a spotter for at least awhile and i need some help doing that....

So far my routine is(and yeah i know the workouts are a little lacklustre and short (limited time) so if you could add anything to them it'd be good):

Day 1: Bench press, bent over rows, close gripped bench
Day 2: Deadlift, romanian deadlift, shoulder press(switch deadlift for sdl every 2nd week.)
day 3: Squat, front squat, chins

Out of that I need a spotter for bench and close gripped bench, so what do you guys suggest i do to replace the bench and for more assistance for that lift since closegripped is gone?

Any exercises for the lats you guys can add as well?

thanks.

just do the bench at a higher-rep scheme. maybe eight reps or so, without going to failue.

Or just be like the dumb guys at the gym I go to and ask a random person you don't know so you interupt them in the middle of their workout.

I really don't think it's dumb to ask someone at the gym for a spot. Most people are resting with pleanty of time between their sets to throw a quick spot...

Admitedly if you ask somebody for a spot in the middle of one of their sets, then yeah, you're fucking retarded. But I don't mind spotting a stranger if they ask.

edit... HEY! where did my ghostly belt go?! looks like somebody fucking pissed on it.

Exactly.

How strong are you anyways (to the thread starter). Back when I was training Westside I was doing Max Effort Bench with over 350lbs with no spotter and YES, I ended up having to roll it down my chest more than once. i'm not saying its the smartest thing to do, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
*Edit* it also adds extra incentive to make the lift!!!

Ummm... I ask people in my gym for spots all the time. They ask me for spots all the time. We spot one another. Does this make me one of those dumb kids at a gym?
