Same weight different size ?

Hello, first post, tried to determine which forum to post in..

Ive always been curious why two people of approximate weight and height can have noticeably different physiques. Some matches can look really odd in that while contestants are 'equal' one fighter is apparently much bigger. Does the ostensive size difference have any bearing on strength ?

everyone's body is different. the too fighter, while the same weight, probably have different bodyfat % then each other.

Muscle is denser then fat, so someone who is 6'0" 225 at 10% bodyfat will look different then someone at the same height and weight w/ 20% bf

Because everyone is different.

Size doesn't always equal strength and strength doesn't always equal size.

Different physiques will have different leverages, different people will have different strong points and weaknesses and larger and smaller muscle groups.

You can have guys like Rich Franklin or Matt Hughes who cut 15-20 lb for a fight, or a guy like Sakuraba who shows up with a cigarette and a side of tempura at the weigh-in.

Naw, he doesn't show up with neither a cigarette nor a side of tempura.

He prefers weighing in with an xbox.

Muscle and fat have different densities (and therefore different weight).

Why don't you post some examples of fight matchups you're thinking of.

I am 5'8" and weigh 190ish at the moment and I look the same as a 160lber. I think I could just be dense with powerlifting and being being of eastern european decent. or I hold my fat well.
