Cutting fat without cutting weight

I posed this question in the diet and supplementation forum and basically got no response. Any help with this would be really cool

I recently gained about 15 pounds in about two months. I went from about 165 to 180. I feel more comfortable at 180 and alot stronger. I have been lifting heavy ( 4-8 rep range) about 3 to 4 times per week and have been taking no-explode and protein.

Up until 3 weeks ago i was eating like a horse to gain weight, which i have stopped because i am right about the weight id like to be. I have gained mostly muscle with some fat which usually happens as you put weight on, especially as quick as i did.

My question is how can i lean out and stay at 180. What type of things should i do ( diet, training, ?) I've gotten really lean for fights about 6% body fat at 165, but i wanna try to keep some of this mass on and dont really wanna go below 175 unless I am fighting.

This is a tricky question if any of you guys can help it'd be apprciated. Feel free to move this to a different forum if you think ill get better results somewhere else in here.

Cut out the garbage. You need to maintain your calories so your body will burn the fat, keep up the food consumption making healthy choices. Keep the protein high and carbs medium. Eat enough food so that when you're working out you body will burn the fat stores.

You want to cycle your carbs so that you still have energy to train and recover but your body will also utilize fat stores for energy.

OU-Boxer... How much boxing are you doing? Most boxers have a hell of a time gaining any mass as boxing burns so many calories and the road work burns more. I started working a heavy bag and have noticed some good changes in my cardio already (and one bruised hand, but I bought better bag gloves so it will get better)...

Best way to change is to move from eating junk to eating well. I wish there was a trader joe's down there, but you should be able to find some good quick to make food. Stir fry is good, pretty filling, just add some extra chicken so you get the protein you need as a boxer and you should be good to go. Skip crap like donuts or sugary cereals and eat a decent breakfast will go a long way to getting you ripped.

Good luck...

ps. How was the Halloween party this year?

I haven't been doing any boxing for a few months because my ankle was really fucked up from a drunken injury ( jumping off a porch and landing on a rock in the snow) a while back. it got better from rehab and i boxed on it pretty good for about two years (4-0) not usa boxing but college stuff against (miami, friday night at the fights (inter squad) . I reinjured it
playing basketball and I finally got surgery on it in december to fix the problem. So ive been concentrated on getting myself as healthy and strong as i can, for when im ready to start training again within the next month or so.
It is hard to gain shit while your boxing, so ive taken this time to get stronger and put on some more muscle. I like the extra weight and it fills out my 6'1 long ass frame ( my arms go almost down to my knees). I really want to see how good i can get after i graduate. I'm one of the better fighters at the school when i do box.
College is tough to stick to a strict diet, but i try to eat pretty healthy. I just gotta concentrate on not screwing up on the weekends and taking a step back for every two steps forward i take during the week.
Oh and halloween was good this year i had a blast, its my 5th year doing it and it was a good one, girls were looking really hot.
