Deadlifting off of blocks as a pernment substitude

Is there any reason for the bar to be at the height dictated by the 45's? For every other exercise, more ROM=better, why not the same for the deadlift?

I personally find the bar too damn low as is. But I have long legs and a short torso. So it's awkward

I have short legs and a long back, the hardest part of the lift is that first 4" I would train from height and my weights would fly, but then whenever I went off the floor I would die. I would rather just fight the weight up from the floor and look slightly weaker.

Zerchers require no special equipment and put you much, much lower (DEVILdSON dots go here).

The main reason is to have a standard for competition.

I don't own enough 35s or 25s to put hundreds of lbs on the bar.
A lot of people will use 45s, but stand on plates or a small platform to increase ROM.

Is the spelling in the thread title correct? Not trying to be a dick, because if it is I need someone to explain it to me.

You're not familiar with the term "pernment substitude"?

Noob.
