Wrist problems from benching

Yeah, so im starting to hit the 250 range on bench, but the problem is my wrists are really starting to kill me now. Would that be a form problem, or would wearing gloves/wraps help me out on this one?

Wrist wraps should help.

250 is hurting your wrists? Really?

Technique issue:

Try to keep your wrists straight. Don't let the weight bend them. Keep the weight resting on the butt of your hand, as close to your wrist as possible. Don't have the bar resting out by the fingers.

Manliness issue:

250? Really? That kind of weigth should NOT be hurting you at all. Do you train your back? Pullups? Hammer Curls? Dips? Deadlifts? Squats? Your wrists should never hurt from lifting unless your technique is off.

i do just about all that, minus hammer curls. It might be something to do with my small frame, im only about 145-150 and about 5'10". I used to never get enough calcium either, so it could jsut be that i have really weak bones or somethin.

On that note, my wrists were killing me today during snatches, so much so that I had to quit (it was very light, only 50kg). Any common snatch form problems that cause wrist pain?

Make sure your hands and forearms are correctly aligned. Don't let the weight bend your hands back.
