Cheap tiedown straps in UK for dips, pullups, body rows etc!

Get yourselves down to your local Aldi folks!

I picked up a set for £5.99. It included a set with hooks and cam buckle like Ross has in never gymless and it also has some without the hooks that could possible be modded for another use. There are two other grip straps and some elastic hooks for good measure too.

I just bought some chain and a couple of chain links from B&Q for £5 to make the handles.

The cam buckle makes it so so easy to adjust for different exercises.

If anybody's got any ideas of how to make a door anchor jam similar to the TRX system it would be much appreciated:

TRX Door Anchor: Fitness Anywhere

Pull-up height

Body row/dip height

The other bits included in the kit:

Top - 6 bungee cords
Bottom right - 2 grip straps
Bottom left - 1 tiedown strap without hooks

That looks cool (war Aldi!) but is it strong enough to handle the weight of my massive cock?

Ceiling Gizmo is watching you fail.

...which you will if these are similar to gymnastic rings - took me 2 weeks practice just to get a full BW dip. Wish I'd know about these before forking out £90 to powerathetes and HM's fucking customs.

I have exactly the same db handles (the core from them is what I used to make my thor hammer). If I had anywhere to hang these I'd be on this like a shot, tthanks anyway.

If your Aldi is anything like my Aldi, i.e. a crazy hobo jumble sale, don't count on finding these. Half the stuff in the shop seems to be what fell off the back of other shops' lorries, piled up randomly on the shelves. You walk down the aisle to get a can of beans and next to them will be welding masks, packs of Chinese voltage converters, and a wheelchair going for a fiver. It's a touch of the Perestroika shopping experience transposed to modern Britain.

Couple suggestions, bend the hooks so they are nearly touching, you will want to make sure it is very difficult to have the chain come off when you do something like muscle ups or gymnastic flys. Upgrade that chain, i don't beleive by looking at it that it will last for very long, it'll probably last awhile but check the links often as they can come apart fairly easily.

Good stuff though

Cheers standard will keep an eye on the chain.

I can't even do a full bodyweight dip on these yet so muscle ups are a way off. I was planning on buying some carabenas to thread through the loop where the hooks fit. No chance of them falling off then.

Took these to the gym where i work today and everyone was loving them.

By the way guys if you can't find them in Aldi, you can get them from here:

Cromwell Industrial Tools UK: 4.5M INDUSTRIAL LOAD STRAP WITH HOOKS : CTL-978-6550E

A little more expensive but you could still build the whole lot for £15.
