Icon13 Can't bend knee to parallel

So since back in June i smashed my knee against a pole and i took the time to let it recover. I was able to do squats properly for a while. But then i ended up injurying the same knee when i was practicing knees on my heavy bag. Didn't end up getting too much rest time, as i was pretty active over the following days, and its been a bitch since.

My big problem is i can't go any lower than lets say 15 to 20 degrees above parallel before a pain my knee arises.

My question here is what exercies can i do in the mean while? I've been doing my deadlifts straight legged lately to compensate, but i havne't been able to squat at all. This really messes up my weekly split, what can i use in the meantime instead of squats?

Just looking for a suggestion of how you may have coped with an injury. I'll be heading to a physio soon enough to also get their recommendations.

Suggestions?

1. You better have it checked if its still hurting after all this time
2. This is an assumption but it could be you're looking for a way out of squats

Hah not even looking for a way out, in fact, i've been doing singe leg squats with the other leg.

I"m trying to line up a meeting with a physio for later this week.
