Anyone ever have a hyperextension injury like this?

Anyone have one of these hyperextension joint injuries from either armbar, kneebar, etc that's not really so bad and painful that you need surgery, but it's just a long irritating one that does'nt heal? You can train, roll, lift weights, whatever, but you just can't get it to full extension unless you go kind of easy and slow. You feel like it's weaker than before and can't get full power or speed. It get's better from the time you hurt it, but over a long time it's still not a 100%.

Anyone get one of these types at anytime in their training/fighting career? If so, how did you overcome it, how long did it take, and what joint was the injury on?

Thanks!

I had my right arm hyper extended at the elbow due to an armbar, it took me nearly 12 months to get full range of motion back and another 6 months to get full strength back its fine now 4 years later!

UR OK just take a break if it hurts that bad. You didnt break it or nothing and all you need is time for it to heal. And put some ice on it. like for 10 mins then take it off for 10 mins then repeat. Thats ALL YOU NEED TO know

Thanks.
Actually it's been on break for about a year previously. Just can't get to 100%.

That happened to my knee from a kneebar. Its not the the knee itself that was injured but the ligaments/tendons that connect the hamstring and calf muscle. It happened a few months ago and I've been staying away (unfortunately) from leg exercises and BJJ class until it heals completely. I don't want a recurring injury. I ice it like a motherfucker and take some ibuprofen. Its been feeling good lately and hopefully I'll be able to start going to class again in a week or two.
