hey im just starting to train in Muay Thai and I will be competing in amateur mma fights, im 16, im 6 foot 9 and 185 lbs. right now I am wondering whether i should stay around the weight I am now and start at 185 or whether I should start packing on the muscle and get to 205

Tone?

DO YOU WANT TO BE A FUCKING FIGHTER

I think you should lift and get strong and you'll end up wherever weight you were meant to be at

Just train hard and eat a lot but clean and you will end up where you want to be. If you think you are too skinny, eat more and hit the weights, read the FAQ before doing so. Unfortunately, nobody here will give you advice on how to acheived a "toned" look.

A few words of advice: you will get ripped to shreds on this forum if you use the phrase "decent size arms" along with references to strength and packing on muscle.

This is a strength and power forum and strength and power involves a lot more than just "arms".

6 foot 9, holy shit. You could have alot of fun fights if you keep your weight low.

listen i guess i should rephrase this cause i guess some people have nothing better to do then to jump all over someone for saying a few things, I plan on starting to compete in amateur mma fighting, I wanted an opinion from someone with some experience, not just any old fucking meathead, on whether I should start out at 185, or whether I should try and get up to 205 before i start.
