what is the main difference between a brabo and d'arce choke?

im just a little confused on the difference... could anyone help

I asked my instructor, and he said that john danaher invented that choke, and i think joe darce and i guess people started caling it after him. Brabo, I heard, was the gi version..but im not too sure. I call that choke, the inverted head and arm choke.

i was wondering about this as well. i (apperently mistakenly) thought the difference was in the starting positions with the brabo starting in more of a north south position. thanks for clarifying.

Um no, the one that goes under the neck than under the arm is anaconda, the one that goes under the arm than under the neck is called a darce/brabo depending on the grip.

the main difference between the Darce, and the Brabo that I've noticed is the spelling

Yeah I've kind of been wondering that too... Anaconda vs Brabo. Seem like very similar chokes. I guess if anyone should know it would be Aesopian
