Perhaps a link to Judoinfo.com? That is where I go for anything Judo related; is there anyplace else on the www comparable to the wealth of Judo knowledge and opinion available there?

Very good call, something we should have done a long time ago right at the beginning, but to be honest at the beginning this was just myself and QMysitc messing around seeing if we could get it up and running, and here we are almost 1000 posts later!!

added some, as Yeahbees suggestion, to the 2nd post in thread. Aye?
And Happyboy, you should change title of thread to 'Judo' or something.
I can't believe a Swede beat us to this obvious reckoning.

Cross-training for Judo: Boxing or Muay Thai
Hi. I;m brand new to sherdog and i'm not sure if this has been posted before, but i had a few questions on cross-training for Judo on the stand-up game. I was wondering if i should cross-train in Muay Thai or boxing. I've heard that alot of the leg techniques in Judo can be easily executed through the Thai clinch. I've also recently bought BJ Penn's MMA Book of Knowledge, and that alot of takedowns can be set up with a few punches-in-bunches. This is where i'm stuck. Im not sure weather to go for Muay Thai or Boxing. I was hoping some experienced MMA Judokas could shead some light on this and give their opinions on which discipline has made their Judo throws more accessable.

I've recently taken a little bit of boxing, kick boxing, and muay thai trying to decide which one will go with Judo the best.
The honest answer is: which one works for you?
I've found that I personally like boxing the most.
Thai the second.
And kick boxing last.
Basically I'll probably get into boxing 90% with 10% muay thai (especially for the low kicks...brutal).

Start here:
YouTube - McCormick1971's Channel
The user has a lot of good Judo vids. If you're like me at all, you'll fairly quickly see certain players who's styles you really like. Then you can do further youtube and google searches on their names.
Good luck with your Judo training.
