Congrats for the comp winners.

As for hearing the ref.....yes, Ive been guilty of carrying on with groundwork after ipponing someone not hearing the call, and once embarrassingly enough I nearly had a guy strangled out after he ipponed me with the ref saying "ippon.......ippon......stop........STOP. ......SSTTTOPPPPPPP", to me as I continued, before having to pull me off him. I was genuinely oblivious, though it was at best a wazari.

I prefer getting punched and kicked than doin judo.

Did judo for a very short time cause my uncle was an instructor.

It hurt like hell.

I find judo good for the reason that you can spar 100% and not show in to work looking like you've just been mugged. Its so satisfying, I used to watch karate and TDK in the hall before us, and sometimes boxing when I was way early, and the semicontact fluffing they do at the end just looks so underwhelming, whereas at the end of judo you can go all in and exert youself to exhaustion without getting smacked up.

I dont know... I had a lot of ouchies from judo.

The sessions were just me getting owned.

Learning to break a fall properly isnt fun at all.

Getting slammed doesnt bother you after a while, and the knocks you take and the injuries are just common sports injuries, not like getting swollen black eyes and cheekbones from striking sports.
