not teared as in torn but tears as in plural= several minor ones, not completely torn. It was not a single event that caused the injury ore of a wear and tear

either you operate and I didn't want to do that cuz it was still handball season(this is like when I was 17) doc said eitehr it will heal and you will build muscles around it that compensates, I finished up the season and wasn't really botherd by it.

Was not even from judo I played handball, played for three teams at the same time, (school, junior team and the senior farm team)

it only started to act up when I started judo after not having done any real excersise for a while, bloating up from all the beer, Uni y'know it has taken some time with rehab and weight loss thou

Oh great, add me to the list of injured judoka.

During randori, I got hit with a Jimmy Pedro-style drop ouchi and landed wrong, tweaking my knee. RICEd it up immediately afterwards, and it feels better though it hurts a bit when I extend my knee when doing hamstring stretches.

And this is on top of the tendonitis I've already got in my right forearm (need to work on my tsurite; floating elbow syndrome)...

Oh well. Gonna see the doc on Monday.

I almost forgot I logged in to bitch about Morote Seonage, is that throw in anybodys arsenal?

Mine looks horrendues, I have to bend my knees so much that I don't have any stability, I can't bend them less because then I cannot get my elbow in udner their arm as I am taller by ateast 2 incehs then all my main sparring partners

I like morote mainly because the standard collar sleeve grip works great, i suck at it, but i don't have to bend excessively, just forcefully lift them and drop a little

Could someone help me with the names of throws. Maybe PM me gifs with throws or short videos. It would also be a help if that were left foot first.

Morote seoi nage is awesome. I love how much power you get from the lapel grip with the tucked elbow. i'm gonna try doing my tai otoshi like that. The only real problem is a get a bad elbow pain when I do it sometimes.

Yeah I might go compete at amcan after all. I feel good, and can do groundwork, so I donno one division might be fine. I need some more shiai experience before nationals.

My game feels horrible lately. I don't think I'm lifting my leg high enough for uchi mata, so I don't get the lifting launch thing with it. I'm also extremely one dimensional cause I wanna go for that over shoulder grip so much now. I have to stop it. lol

I started out dropping to my knees with it (aka drop seoitoshi) and then later learnt to spring up and then later to spring up b4 the knees touched. Just gotta learn to place the hips there, it seemed, for more power and drive earlier. Have to change the trajectory of the throw.

I mostly used morote seoi from the draw. I did have some techs with it. I would take his rite pant leg and opt for ouchi then as he sprawled I would morote seoi. At 1st I put plenty into the leg grab and rite ouchi so that it was dangerous, then it later became a slap to the leg - morote seoi as he dropped his leg back.

Mostly tho since it was my strong throw most of my combos came after morote.

I could throw standing ippon seoi but never really with morote.

If the knee ain't too bad try dropping. Just as you open him up. Use your grips and your feet to keep the pressure off your knee.
