you can do the jumping drill where you have your uki jumping up and down, jstu so you get a feel for the sweep
Ha ha, I love that drill, here that is the punishment for losing in a dojo comp, the loser has to be the jumper and the winner gets to can him with that sweep. Hurts like a mad if they make you jump really high and you start trying to guess when he's going to do it.

put some cahirs out on the mats for goals, two teams, you fold your belt twice and then use that as a club to hit the bal with
Nah we play handball with a foam ball and crash mats as goal. We have special rules though, only rule is your not allowed to run with the ball, judo throws are fine!

My coach loves foot sweeps...as in he loves to pop me with them in randori, its sickening how smooth they are.
Course I'm getting wise to the sweeps and now he's killing me with Tai Otoshi. For a taller guy like me taking it from a short guy, its a long hard fall.

Tai Otoshi knocks the stuffing outta ya alright. I know what you mean about coaches, the same dude in practice now keeps nailing me with ko-uchi, just the same one over and over and no matter how hard I try and not step onto it, bam, each time. Doesnt get ippon but down on the seat on the seat on the pants is indignant.
