Good point about supervision, we have 2 or 3 judo brownbelts at my club, i'll try to ask them for help. Although they might not be around when i'm doing my drilling before class, but i could likely access a greenblet at that time.

yer fine then. sry. Just with the 'vid' comment it sounded like learning straight up.

which I'm sure could be done but not so efficiently.lol Thats what does suck about judo is the learning curve.

Yeah I don't really know a counter to ouchi either. I just lift my leg over to weather the storm. I can do ouchi pretty good and I like to use it to set stuff up. My ko ouchi however is horrible! It's actually pure garbage.

just drill man

you can do the jumping drill where you have your uki jumping up and down, jstu so you get a feel for the sweep

someone was telling me how he counts as you step and something, but i didn't really get it too much...and anyone know if they are gonna show the Olympic judo matches in the US?

yeah several footsweeps are great to practise with in KATA form
Okuri ashi Harai for example


move sideways, slightly after your uki and on the third step you take a little step inwards with your leading foot and sweep with the other
