yeah you will 9/10 roll over your oppoenet as you have to "loose " your blance to offset his, and you should reagian it when he falls but that doesan't happen in randori/shia

My coach wants me to put my elbow into thier armpit as I am offbalancing my uki, it jsut doesn't work as I am always taller then my uki/opponenets

I prefer the shoulder grip, might even try it from double sleeve grip when I think about it

I mean like grabbing the same side lapel as the sleeve. Yeah I think I might have to commit fully to tai as in like almost falling forward with it for it to work. I find kata guruma pretty easy to fall from. Just do a roll and ukemi. Sode tsurikomi goshi is easily one of the most painful throws. A hard osoto can be pretty brutal. I always feel bad when I throw someone in uchikomi with uchi mata cause I can;t give supprt most of the time. I commit fully to it, so I'm often falling over myself lol. I find makikomis really painful as well.

You get enough torque with a two on one grip then?

I kinda like to just karate chop the elbow-pit for suprise sometimes dunno if it would be legal

My coach jsut said if you leave it in there it is jsut a hard grip fighting

I guess KAta Guruma KAta version hurts for me because well it is 300pounds they have to heave of their shoulders, and we are all pretty big dudes so it is some way to fall

In general, makikomis. Definetly makikomis.

But I'm starting to hate osotos because tori either hits me with a right hook or a clothesline from hell with the tsurite. And don't get me started on freight train osotos from the heavyweights...

I was introduced to sotomakikomi from an early age, I honestly don't think they hurt so much when I throw them, if it is constant contact it genrally doesn't

My makikomi from a Ouchigari thou... that has been described as being hit by a truck

Man just had such a shitty night at judo. I had to go after guitar so i had like an hour. My knee started acting up, and I was winded after two sessions of randori. I kept messing up my uchi mata. I think I didn't have enough pull, so I kept faceplanting. I got it like 1 out of 4 times. My osoto keeps turning into like an o guruma. Ugh sooooo sloppy. Tomorrow is technique night so I'll have to wait till next monday. I told the rugby coaches I'd be back for practise, so I'll be winded at judo practise. Ugh this sucks, on top of that I didn't do any homework and went to judo instead hahahaha
