Sorry to get off topic but I was wondering if anyone is from British Columbia? If so, any places you'd recommend for instruction?

Only messin, good to see ya.

I was down in Budokwai here in London the other week. Took a slapping, 5 british team members on the mat and the coach was the French player Yandhzi from the 90's. The dude is a monster but was not fighting. Lots of internationals there, I wasnt in condition at all, had to get off after a few matches cos could barely stand. Long way back to get in shape, 102kgs, was 81 in college, 85-90kg in japan depending on how lazy I felt that month, now Im an openweight player effectively. That photo of me earlier in this thread or the other thread with the kids on my back, I dont look like that anymore!!

To dwindle down the question, im just wondering what are some drills i can practice by myself, specific conditioning exercises, anything to note on. And very curious how you guys transition from traditionally judo to mma and use your judo effectively.

So how effective would this be if you wanted to throw a mugger on a concrete floor? Seems like some of the throws can really hurt the judoka.
