Hi guys, kinda new here.

I know how to slam/fall but last night a fellow newbie tried a new throw and just sorta let go 3/4 in to the throw and dropped me on my back.

When i got home, my piss was orange/reddish... Has this happened to you to?

Hey man, yes it has happened to me, you got dropped on your back and it sounds as if your kidneys took a knock and you are pissing abit of bloody urine, nothing really to worry about but you should probably go take a urine test anyway.

finished my second class and i think im falling in love

My Ukemi is really improving and my instructor told me that my seoi naga is terrific for a beginner...which is great because it's such a thrill to practice it. Now if i could only pull it off in randori...

Question regarding promotion. Unfortunately, as of next month Judo players over here will no loger earn there belts in club but will instead earn them threw Kata. I think this is very gay as I am getting nasty in Randori by using a few simple but effective 'big mans throws' and I was looking forward to earning my belts the hard way. Anyway, my question is, will they simply ask me to demonstrate the techniques that I know on an unresisting partner or will I have to remember all the japanese names for them? I'm worried about getting the names wrong.

yes you'll have to remember the names

no biggie just go thru a compendium of the throws with simple pics/drawings a little bit every day

It is not "randomly" named throws you know it is like a real langauge so there is some logic behind it
