Neck Crank Defense When Mounted?

Most of us know by now the spinning armlock defense when having the opponent in guard and he attempts a neck crank or simply defending by framing up on his chin.

But what about when you've been mounted and they throw one leg over your shoulder and properly neck crank from there. It's hard to pull the person in because of that leg over one of your arms. What's the counter here?

Why would they neck crank when they could triangle.....? Go out the back door man. Take the "trapped" arm and push the leg over your head and shrimp to your knees or take the back.

I think it's something that wrestlers like to do, more of a power/explosive type attack I guess rather than a triangle/bjj type attack. I have very little time to react.

I can't throw the leg over my head because his arms are in the way grasping behind my head. And I can't throw him off w/o throwing that leg over my head.

I guess since it's not something done in tourneys I can't find any good defenses online. Any vids?

Using the arm that isnt trapped, turn to the leg NOT trapping an arm and hip escape to half guard. Believe me, there is always something you can do.

Inside.

Damn I can't even find a pic of it online. This question began by me looking @ a Gracie book we have here, where Helio is showing how to do a neck-crank from mount, the proper way. With one-leg over the opponent's arm and shoulder. I saw it and thought, wow I haven't seen a defense for that. Me and my buddies tried figuring out the defense on the mats and couldn't.

Well I was trying to even turn and couldn't because the pressure was so great pulling my chin towards my chest. i kept on trying to throw him off but he would base out with the foot by my hips, I should've tried shrimping into half-guard right then. I didn't try pummeling through with my free arm though, just noticed that.

These guys used to neck-crank me to break my guard all the time, till I "perfected" the spinning arm-lock. And when they get your neck they crank it quick! We try to simulate a real street scenario. But they've never attempted this from mount with the other leg over my arm. Now that I showed them, they are gonna want to try this. I need the counter quick!

they're probably using the neck crank to set-up the triangle..
