Training without a school

Hey guys didn't know quite where to post this. I am currently training in wrestling, kickboxing, and bjj with my cousin who is a bjj brown belt, he also was a kickboxing champion in the army. I train wrestling with my friend who placed 3rd in state his sr year.

They both put me through the traditional training drills. For ground work they train me in a ymca where they let us use a basement room as long as we clean the mats.

For stand up we have a very good heavybag, gloves, wraps, headgear, body pags, shin guards. When rolling or sparring we use mouth guards and compression shorts with cups for groin protection.

At this point I can't afford to pay the $180/ month the local schools require, so I have found alternate means to train. My cousin is an experienced and skilled fighter both stand up and on the ground so I don't feel like I'm wasting my time training with him. He's also getting back in shape to fight in the local shows.

Here's how our schedule goes:

Monday(I do take 1 or 2 days off depending on how I feel) strength and conditioning(I do this almost every day)
Tuesday thai boxing
Wednesday bjj/wrestling
Thursday thai boxing(light training)
Friday bjj/wrestling
Sat thai boxing
Sun strength and conditioning(light workout)

My bjj is getting better, after a month of training my cousin brought in a blue belt from a local school and I gassed hiom out and pwned him.

Are there any suggestions you guys have to add to my training?

What school is this? That's ridiculous. Do you have a lot of wrestling experience? Did you have a huge size advantage? Otherwise, I don't see any scenerio where someone with 1 month of training will "pwn" a blue belt. I just won my first tournament, and unless I have a huge size advantage every blue belt at our school is handling me when they try.

Nah he had the extensive wrestling background and a blue belt in bjj. He had great sweeps but I mounted him and almost armbarred him when the round was up. I had about a 10lb weight advantage though, but I don't think that'd enough to discredit the fact that I was on his ass like white on rice. Lol.

Once thing my cousin has been saying is he finds I'm too strong to do certain moves on, or to force into certain positions. Mike the blue belt guy said the same thing. I just need to get my bjj technique to a more competitive level. At this point I'm able to Josh Koscheck(lnp) my way to a win. Lol.

Go to a real school, get some real training. Then you'll realize this story is BS, and you shouldn't have posted it.

Actually it was a blue belt. And I gassed him out. Its not hard to pwn somebody after they've gassed.

My cousin is a brown belt and he pwns me daily. I pull some good scrambles but he always takes dominant position.

Ya, because every brown belt I met "forces you into positions"

Don't see how it's bs. It's not like the guy was a black belt and I'm claiming to be a bjj phenom. I just did surprisingly well with a blue belt. I have great conditioning and he gassed during the scramble. From there I passed his guard(took a long time, got into half guard and mounted from there) and almost armbarred him from the mount. I'm sure it wouldn't have gone as easy if he hadn't of gassed. Why do I need to pay $180/month when I have a cousin who is pretty skilled and who will train me for free?

Ok. "Get" into certain positions. A belt doesn't mean you are automatically granted a +10 level up in all categories of athleticism. It's still a physical competition. I'm not saying I'm great at bjj at all. I'm learning and I'm developing well. Just wanted to know what else I should add to my training since I do not have the funds to pay a monthly fee at a gym.
