Donald is in Chicago for business school but comes back occasionally for seminars with Royler or David Adiv.

Darren Branch teaches the class now. He's a nice guy and a very good teacher. His life is devoted to BJJ and he explains techniques in great detail. Like I said before, come see for yourself.

just went to popovitch jiu-jitsu in northfield. The instructor, chris seemed like a nice guy, and the class wasn't too croweded, so its a good student to teacher ratio.

i will probably visit evolution bjj in cleveland heights, and the school in indepedence and decide on the best one before i sign up for anything

How much is it to drop in for a class and how long do classes usually last? Do you have open mat after class or is it too late by the time class is over?

I might have to stop by for a class. Two more questions. What rank is Darren and how big is your average class?
Thanks for the info!

Darren is a purple belt.
The average class is around 15 people.
If you're coming to check things out, there will be no drop-in fee.
If you pay by the class, it's $10 a pop.
Classes run about an hour and a half and it's open mat as late as you want after that.
Hope that helps!

As a fellow RGDA guy I will suggest Evolution, but I am a little biased...

if you're on the west side...give us a look

Full Circle Combat Sports - Main

i'm pretty good friends with darren and chris chard and drop in to train with them from time to time. you can't go wrong at either place. Darren and I are good at very different aspects of jiu jitsu, which is why I like training with him. Chris Chard is just awesome period. He's a black belt for a reason. Darren is by far the best wrestler of the three of us, and he weighs all of 135 pounds...yet another reason why I drop in there from time to time.
Full Circle is the smallest of the three gyms, and our gi classes are pretty early (6pm during the week) which is a problem for even me sometimes (and I teach em). But we are in Lakewood, which isn't bad if you're not far from there.
