how would japanese pancrase wrestlers in their prime do in tournemnts like ADCC?
how do wrestlers in their prime like masakatsu funaki, shamrock, suzuki, sakuraba, tamura do against people like marcelo garcia, eddie bravo, jacare in ADCC?
i think personally someone like funaki in his prime would have a field day against bravos rubber guard

Why? it seems more likely rubberguard would do well against them since a. they haven't seen it before, and b. they couldn't drop for leg locks out of guard. But I'm sure they'd do well in the ADCC if they trained for it. If they came straight out of Pancrase to the ADCC they wouldn't be used to it and probably wouldn't do well, but they have the basic skills of any good grappler.

are you familiar with weight classes?
also, WTF is this statement even based on? Anybody Eddie Bravo puts in Rubber-Guard is going to be FAR from "having a field day"

Ask Royce how he did against Hughes even from a grappling stand point. The world is always changing...out with the old in with the new, for better or worse.

Kikuta is an ADCC champion but he comes from a very strong Judo background and may have a BJJ black belt as well. Kiyoshi Tamura is more of a pancrase submission wrestler and he got destroyed very badly by Ricardo Liborio.
