Brazilian Top Team in Kansas City
Does anybody train with these guys or know any of them. I understand it's one of only a handful of places in the USA you can train with BTT. The others being in California Boston with the homebase being in Brazil, of course. I was wondering if anybody had any experiences with BTT or knew anything about the operation in KC. Living in Florida right now but planning on moving to KC to train with those guys. I'm sure if somebody like Sperry makes 10 stops in America to train the gym in KC would have to be a big one. There's a show in South Florida that gets fighters from Brazilian Top Team as well as American Top Team. Nice, but it's a long drive from the panhandle. I may make it down there in the next couple of months. Seen any BTT guys in King Of The Cage?

i forgot the name of the teacher but he along with one of his students were down in Rio de Janeiro with us (BTT-Canada) training for a couple of months getting ready for the copa and mundials.a great grappler and great in no gi, you have to understand, BTT will ont give a guy a black belt just to expand the name globally...Busta and Sperry have a reputation to maintain, so their black belts are gonna be very good black belts, all i believe have been state champions at one time or another, and others fight in NHB.

I'm more interested in kicking ass and taking names/belts than having a black belt anyway. I can't find a website for the KC location. And I wouldn't question the black belts that come out of BTT anyway. Thanks for the info.

Kansas City KS or Kansas City MO? It's on BTT's main website http://www.braziliantopteam.com/classes_eng.asp along with their place in Montreal
Looks like they've added a place in Boston and Sacto which answers another question, what were their plans on expansion

kick all the ass and take all the names you want, you wanted to know how good these guys are and i clearly explained, being the quality of the black belt instructor you have an opportunity to train with........besides, having a black belt in BJJ, and earning it under a quality instructor will make you an asskicker, and the task is not easy......

I gotcha and hearing about the copa and mundials was interesting. I wasn't even thinking of entering grappling competitions with them. From what I understood and have seen it was an MMA thing but the blackbelt thing and the grappling thing just adds an extra touch. I'm not upset, I just wanna kick ass.
