so i was caught in a guillotine...

And the guy had it in pretty good. we were practicing escaping the choke so i held on and tried to escape. i guess i strained a little too hard and this morning i woke up with a popped vessel in my eye.

just wondering if anyone ever had this happen to them? is there any special precautions i should take during training to make sure my eye is safe? i dont want it to get worse.
should i even take a break from training? it doesnt hurt.

i just never had this happen before. it looks kinda freaky, but it doesnt hurt and my vision isnt affected. just dont want to make it worse

Shouldn't be a problem, as long as it doesn't hurt and your vision is unaffected. I've done it while sick and was blowing chunks and also when coughing real hard. It usually clears up in about week or so. I'd take abreak or just be careful of chokes till it heals or it will rehemorrage and start all over again.

Dont worry about it, its just a burst capillary.

It makes no difference to anything thats existed ever. Just train as normal. Just a sign of strain, some people would get a nosebleed or whatever. You were doing a vital part of training but you might want to tap (in training, not competition or whatnot because thats a different ballgame) when your in a choke so deep that you pop blood vessels in your eyes trying to escape.

Wow. My friend once got the same thing from looking at the computer screen for too long. I wouldn't train with that thing.
