STILL NOT AS BAD AS THE 405!!
True that!

Everytime i spend the weekend with my brother in Westwood, i always take the 10 to the 110. Much quicker back to South Bay.

Plus! The 110 has a badass carpool lane.

two lanes lifted + above the freeway = Awesomeness!

I'm still a white belt noob, so take my comments from that perspective...

If you are staying in Hollywood then HBJJ is great. Super collegial environment, almost everyone is super friendly. The best way to describe it is that it's a very intellectual BJJ school with lots of techniques taught with a high level of detail (I also train at another school where the detail is there just not the same).

They also do less drills/reps during classes, but have lots of open mat training time. Fun school, wish I had the $ and time to train here more.

i just want to say that this school is GREAT i have only been training here for a bout a month. Also to clear one thing up its technically in West Hollywood so you don't get the whole Hollywood scene. The school is kind of hidden away in a corner of a strip mall above 7-11 on Holloway. there are no complaints i go in and train on Mondays Wednesdays and Thursdays without a problem the schedule is a bit odd but when you think about it it actually makes a lot of sense all of the instructors are all very knowledgeable and great at what they do ironically i haven't met Shawn Williams or Sean Flannery yet but Ive taken classes with all the other instructors and they're all awesome. I'm not in the best shape but training here is the only workout you need hell just the warm up with a heavy gi on is enough to make you want to just run directly into the nice cold ocean. but after that is when the real fun starts the classes are an hour long and you get the most out of the time pair right up and get to it. then the Mauy Thai class starts directly after.

If your considering joining here don't consider it JUST DO IT. ITS NUMBER ONE
