To Little Mac- for your problem, you should (I'm not a doctor, remember) stop when the muscle feels like it's tearing. Take it easy the rest of class, and bow out if need be. Give it time to rest- the amount you need I don't know- but you should be able to figure it out. Do strength training for your legs. Ask your instructor- explain the problem and ask if something is wrong with your technique.

Do you ever grab your toes to pull the triangle tight? This might be doing some damage to your foot's tendons, it's like giving yourself a toe-hold. Pull on your heel instead. There is much less stress on your foot.

well pulling can make the triangle tighter and if its alittle loose then ur foot will be behind the other knee instead of havin the very bottom of ur shin under your other knee, which will relieve the pressure on that hurt foot of yours

you are doing it wrong. Your leg being bent over your triangled leg should be over the point of where your shin and ankle connect with your toes pointed up flexing your shin. You prolly had your leg over the top of your foot and ankle locked your self. pay attention to detail in class
