Roy Harris Grips Instructional

Just saw this on his blog. This is for sure a DVD I will pick up. Being new to grappling in the gi I have a LOT to learn about grips and hand fighting.

"I have already started filming for the new HJJ instructional DVDs. Two of these DVDs will be completed by Thanksgiving weekend. The first DVD, "Grip Fighting: Grips, grabs, hooks, pincers and more..." will be available for pre-order soon! Those of you on my mailing list will receive a special offer in you e-mail inbox soon!

This first DVD will fill a much needed gap. No Jiu Jitsu instructor has addressed the topic of Grip Fighting for groundwork just yet. So, this new DVD with 88 tips, tricks, techniques and theory will definitely make a positive impact on your current grappling game!

A second DVD will be filmed at the end of this month. A third, fourth and fifth DVD will be filmed in mid November to early December. These new instructionals will contain a ton of NEW MATERIAL :-) So, if you liked my old BJJ 101 series (as well as the arm locks, chokes and leg lock videos), you're gonna be blown away with the new HJJ 100 series (all 35 of them)!"

This will be interesting. I wonder if he addresses grips in the transition from standing to ground.

wow this sounds cool and fitting for somebody like Roy. I remember I first was dabbling into gi-BJJ and he came to my school for a 2 day seminar. THe guy is so articulate and he started out the seminar by showing us about 8 different kinds of ways to grip upper body limbs and explained into great detail what he was showing. awesome

This does sound great. I'm a seasoned grappler but now that I also roll in a gi I'm not sure what to do with gripping the gi. I know it comes with time but this DVD sounds perfect.

Sounds amazing. I always wanted to learn grips but they're taught sporadically and always on the go
