I'm not sure that is the real point. We can all admit that there are much much bigger fish to fry out there in the world, and there are much more important issues, than whether Rickson owned up to a loss in Sambo. Strikes me that the issue is why so many jump in another thread and further disparage Rickson and his "legacy". Just MHO.

Just to clear the air. I am not one of those people. I was just curious as to whether he really lost the match, because I know WIKI can be inaccurate andI knew you guys would know. I was still under the impression he was undefeated.

^That was from a Sherdogger who talked with Ron Tripp.
Rickson's only loss...

Well, considering Helio has made fun of Rickson's claim of being 400-0 (for various reasons), I don't think it's always an attempt to disparage Rickson. Most grapplers have huge respect for what Rickson has done, but have a hard time understanding why he claims to be invincible. He's still saying, as a 50 year old man, that he would beat Fedor today, despite not having been in the cage or ring for a MMA fight in years, and basically being too old for that kind of sport. It'd be like Larry Bird saying he could put on a Celtic's uniform and be an all star forward despite his age - its hard to take serious, and you wonder why someone like Rickson, who is almost universally admired in the grappling world, says things like that.

George -- where and when did Rickson say he could beat Fedor in MMA??? Source please, as I've never seen that claim from Rickson.

I think he's 46...clearly the perfect age to fight Fedor. I mean look at Randy...
