let me qualify that there is a white belt that signed up recently with maybe a year of exp
I've told him even though I am a leglock guy all I will do is armlocks
so it makes it fair
if you are giving it 100 percent we aren't going to kick you out
its just people that get tired and want to quit that make us mad
a person should be commited to do his best
its like this I train some judo once in a while
when I go to the judo I call the 20 year old black belt that I can double leg sir
casue that is the school rule I bow to the black belts
and I have no problem with it that is the way the school is
One big problem I have with some school
for example is if you are late they expect you to stand at the mat and wait to be ackowledgre like you are a dog and then do burpees or push ups
dude most people have stuff outside of jiu jitsu
Baret understand that if yourt late the rule is jump in as fast as you can and try and not disturb the flow of the class

i think you are doing you school more harm than helping its image. or maybe it really is run the way you say. keep in mind, people arent impressed by ego's and thats the word that kept popping into my mind when you describe your academy. Your a big guy so that kinda explains the smash/trainhard/no"pussies"/hulk-bash approach you have going.
in no way am i giving an opinion about your academy or instructor, but only sharing the image i got from your post.
the way you come off saying "screw saulo" i dont bow, i dont follow the gracie way etc... is just ridiculous and honestly you sound immature. What does the gracie way have to do with these guys, just because they are super close to the gracies doesnt mean the share the same brain, thoughts, and opinions.
harder training doesnt always equal better training, sometimes flowing and going with trainsitions is WAY more helpful. Then again, i am a student/admirer of technique, not muscle.
Hands down I would train at Soulos if you are looking to train 100% bjj. i mean you get to train with TWO BJJ legends (well one already in the making). Saulo is a, i forget 6 TIME WORLD CHAMPION, and Xande well, hes a top dog right now. Both of these guys could be running their own academies, successfully i might add.
For me it would be like Rigan and Jean Jacques both teaching under the same roof. Wow, that would be unreal. Think about Royler and Rickson both teaching (assuming they actually taught their classes, i heard Rickson barely did).
Hard to beat TWO super high level black belt instructors. And for their prices id do it the same day i moved to SD.
Luckily I train and arguably the best PURE bjj academy in the US, with about 12 other black belts regularly training there, 15-20 brown belts and waaaaay too many purples blues and whites to count. Thats the advantage of training at one of the first BJJ academies in the US, it has around 18 years of a solid rep! Not to mention we just got a new, much bigger training center last week. Ok enough ranting about my school
My second choice would be Dean Listers, i have heard nothing but great things about the guy.
go check them all out, they should have a free day trial, if not then maybe just watch a class one day.
