Question about a how to get out of a headlock

when someone is on top of you and has you in a headlock and you cant seperate there hands, what do you do? they are in half gaurd jus layin on you and wont move at all until you tap. this recentely happened to me and i had no idea what to do so i just tapped but it hurt so bad and i thought there was no way to get out. does anyone kno how to get o;ut of this?

frame the face with your forearm, push they will break their grip, be careful and wary of the side choke though

codemonkey's right, I'm just curious if he's talking about a neck crank though or some kind of guillotine type choke?

Maybe he means the scarf choke where you choke the person with their own arm?

i don't thik he is talking about kata gatame (side choke / head-arm choke), If he is maybe he will elaborate, there is a few escapes for kata gatame, the main one being the "answer the phone/comb the hair) move" combined with, changing the angle of the pin and usin the legs as momentum to sit up and reverse the position

it sounds to me like someone was just doing a caveman neck crank on him or even holding his head in position and laying on it, cause he describes it as hurting really bad as opposed to being choked
