The rest of Pedro's DVDs arent any better Im afraid. In terms of instructionals there are many many better DVDs out there. The Pedro DVDs are basically another way for him to make money since you cant advance unless you own them. You cant borrow them either, you have to buy them. And dont forget to bring your money for the belt test.

Before anyone gets mad at me, dont get me wrong - Pedros a great guy. Really nice, friendly, etc. But in terms of the school system and the techniques, didnt work well for me. His teaching style in general is waaayyyy too static, and he makes so that everyone has to learn the same way. No creativity involved whatsoever. That shows on the DVDs. Youre much better off going with Saulo's sets, especially the first, and if you want something more advance check out marcelo's. Marcelo just came out with a second one for the gi as well I believe.

I love his school though, I trained there a few times. His insight into technique is ridiculous.

It is left over right.

You are correct. Pedro is wearing his jacket backwards.

Apparently he always does this. It might just be a personal style thing, but it's definitely pretty rare to see someone wear it this way.

It would look really freaky to Japanese people to see someone wearing it that way. They always wear it left over right, as you would dress yourself as a right handed person.

They reserve the right over left for a dead person's funeral display. It symbolizes the fact that they can't dress themselves anymore so someone else had to do it for them. So it's right handed by the dresser's orientation, and crosses right over left on the dead person.

So yeah, either it's a personal style thing with Pedro, or he is a zombie sent from ancient Japan to destroy people with jiu-jitsu.

Are you sure?

I searched but just found his first Winning Techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Does anyone can confirm Marcelo produced a second set for the gi?
