Some of us earlier than others.

Hey Goat. How did the past events work out?

Was always curious to see if a submission only event would work. If the competitors know that a sub is the only way to win, do they stall less?

Most of the time, they work harder. Sometimes, they just sit around with confused looks on their faces until one of them figures out how to make the other tap.

In the end, it always works out. Check out the results from our previous Sub-Only events:

Results - Submission Only III - Winchester Sportsplex - Winchester, VA - 04/25/2009
Submission Only II - Winchester Sportsplex, Winchester, VA - 11/1/2008
Submission Only - March 22, 2008 - Winchester Sportsplex, Winchester, VA - Results

On the top link, you can click the division name and see the times for each match. I think nearly all, if not all times are recorded.

Well, shit. You plan on doing a lot more of these in the future?

When I'm on the east coast/in the US, I sometimes stay out at a place in Linden. Right around the corner from you.

Definitely doing more of these. It's the best tournament format IMO.

There are no points or penalties for anything. You can be DQ'd if you use an illegal technique, but that's all (EG, heel hook in the gi, slamming from the guard, etc).
